Cornerstone Network's purpose is to inspire people with Christ-given dreams to network together to have a profound impact on the church, the culture and the world. The ultimate network is connecting people to Jesus Christ, the Cornerstone of life, and to God's purpose for their lives.
Our goal is to inspire networks of people through strategic spheres of influence: film, TV and radio; music; the Internet; social needs and well-being; politics; government; education and more. One way we can accomplish this is to keep you informed of events in our culture upon which we can have a positive influence.

The Battle Continues
This just in from the Pacific Justice Institute (www.PJI.org) ...
Pledge of Allegiance - We find that this fight is far from over. Even though a three-judge panel ruled that the pledge was constitutional, the Ninth Circuit is now considering Dr. Michael Newdow's request to have a larger 11-judge panel to rehear the ruling.
National Motto ... "In God We Trust" - The fight continues with the Freedom from Religion Foundation. Michael Newdow describes atheists as "the nation's most stigmatized suspect class," and insists that "In God We Trust" facially endorses the controversial, purely religious notion that there exists a God whom Americans embrace." The foundation is also finghting Ontario City Council who voted unanimously to include the mtto "In God We Trust" in a semicircle above the city seal in the council chambers.
Values-Based Movie, Letters to God, Opening in Theaters Nationwide
Letters to God is an impactful movie that tells the story of an 8-year-old boy who is struggling to survive cancer. Click here for more information about Letters to God. The movie opened nationwide in spring of 2010 in a very limited number of theaters. Fortunately, the movie's DVD was released August 10, 2010, and can now be purchased in retail stores or viewed on Netflix.

Cornerstone Network ~ Global Ministry Update
God is opening doors for a global focus for Cornerstone in new places that we had not even imagined . . .
1. Mongolia – Ministry leaders are enthusiastic about using Pray-Care-Share with new believers as they plant new churches.
2. China – God is opening doors to reach factory workers in China.
3. India – A coordinator for Finishing the Task, will be promoting Pray-Care-Share when training 100,000 new church leaders in northern India this year.
4. Finishing the Task – Leaders are eager to use Pray-Care-Share in spreading the gospel to 639 unengaged, unreached people groups in the world, numbering over 535,000,000 souls.
5. Middle East, Europe and South America - Lifelong Leadership Network International are working to see the Good News spread 25 countries in these areas, and hope to use the Pray-Care-Share strategy.
6. YWAM – in 149 countries. Larry DeWitt serves with YWAM and will have further discussions with John Dawson regarding using the Pray-Care-Share strategy. |
